The Amarillo Independent published a three-part series on Repent Amarillo in the Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, 2009 issues. Those issues were accompanied by videos that were originally published to The Amarillo Independent Web site.
On Feb. 19, 2010, The Texas Observer published an article on Repent Amarillo and posted collateral material on its Web site, including video provided by The Amarillo Independent.the Repent Amarillo story has since gone viral although the Independent received little credit for the information is supplied to the Observer.
